Tour: Strawbery Banke Museum

Strawbery Banke Museum often needs GSA help with their events!  Join us for a tour to learn more about the museum!

Tour date: July 19th, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, arrive at 9:45 am

Eligibility: Must have served 50 volunteer service hours

How Many GSAs Can Attend: 25

Uniform: GSA uniform. No purses or bags allowed on tour – leave them in your car trunk. You can bring a small cross-body purse, a waist pack, GSA cinch pack, or your new GSA neck wallet. Wear comfortable shoes.

Accessibility: Lots of walking and/or lots of stairs

The walking tour makes a variety of stops around the campus, but does not leave the grounds at
any point. The paths are dirt so they are not always the most even, but it is flat. The main loop is about a half kilometer of walking.

Meeting Location: Patio of the Tyco Visitor’s Center

Description: This is a walking tour of the Strawbery Banke Museum grounds. The Museum is a vibrant nearly 10-acre campus dedicated to bringing 300+ years of American history to life through dozens of historic buildings on their original foundations, heirloom gardens, hands-on traditional crafts, and engaging costumed roleplayers sharing the experiences of those who lived and worked in the waterfront neighborhood of Puddle Dock.

What to bring: Water will be provided. In addition, there are a number of wonderful local eateries and cafes near the museum.
