Volunteer: Strawbery Banke Baby Animals Heritage Breeds 2022

Event Description: Baby Animals: Heritage Breeds at the Banke, showcases a variety of heirloom breeds of Barnyard Baby Animals (and their moms) that would have been familiar to earlier generations. The event is a family-friendly opportunity to learn more about domestic livestock typical on coastal northern New England farms from the 17th century to the present day.

Most volunteer opportunities are needed underneath the main tent. Please dress in layers and wear practical shoes/clothes.

Please note: The event is open to the public daily from 4/23 – 5/1 10am to 3pm.

Record Hours: Please report your own hours through our Project Hours link.

Perks: We allow all event volunteers to enjoy the event after their shift, and those who volunteer for 2 or more hours are also able to ask for a free ticket to any of our signature events.

Uniform: Full GSA uniform: GSA shirt, BLACK pants or skirt and name tag.
No purses or large bags, please. Fanny packs and small over the shoulder wallets are okay.
If you need to add extra layers for warmth, please try to wear them underneath your GSA shirt (complimentary plain colored long sleeved shirts, turtlenecks, etc.) Please try to avoid sweaters, coats, and vests that might obscure your uniform shirt. If you are wearing a sweater, it must be a cranberry, forest green, or navy cardigan style.

Must be able to stand and/or walk for most shifts.
