Upon leaving the Marina, we will cruise by Governors Island, the Witches, across the Broads to the Barber Pole, up into Moultonboro Bay, back down thru the Hole in the Wall, crossing the Broads and returning to the Weirs/Paugus Bay. Along the way, you will hear stories and facts about the lake, the surrounding mountain ranges and towns.

Tour downtown Lebanon and several arts organizations, including the Lebanon Opera House, AVA Arts Gallery, Upper Valley Music School. Spend time at the Lebanon Farmer’s Market (50 vendors!) This is partly an orientation for the new Lebanon Welcome Center, so if you’re interested in volunteering here, please sign up!
Eligibility: Must be an active GSA and have 50 service hours. GSAs who want to volunteer at the Lebanon Visitor Center can email Kelly and be pre-signed up – no hours restrictions.

The 603 History Hunt is a statewide scavenger hunt for the State of New Hampshire. Created by the New Hampshire Historical Society, it is one of several programs and events organized to mark the Society’s 200th anniversary in 2023.
The 603 History Hunt presents to players a series of challenges. There are dozens of challenges players can choose. Some can be completed from just about anywhere in the state, while others are tied to a specific region or location within New Hampshire.

Celebrate Portsmouth’s 400th anniversary this year with the Portsmouth Historical Society! Our tour will begin with coffee, tea, and pastries, and then a guided visit through our two gallery exhibitions, “A Sense of Place,” and “Reinventing Portsmouth.” We will then take a walking tour of the Strawbery Banke Museum grounds.

This July, five tall ships plus the Gundalow will sail up the Piscataqua River. The Parade of Sail and Flotilla is scheduled to begin at 6:15 PM (1815) Thursday, July 27. The Parade of kicks off Sail Portsmouth 2023 with the tall ships leading a flotilla of other vessels, both civilian and commercial fishing boats plus military and municipal craft. They start at the mouth of the river and end at the Memorial Bridge where the tall ships will turn around and head to their mooring sites.

Lyme Lodge, with pond side activities like boating or swimming, walking to “The Pinnacle” OR a drive or e-bike to Orford, NH to view the Row Houses. End day with snacks at the Lodge including veggies from our gardens/local farms and cheese from Cobb Hill Cohousing.

NHTM houses over 1000 telephone-related artifacts, two interactive/hands-on rooms, a
special exhibit [2023 special exhibit is called “COLORS: A Selfie Experience”, so guests are encouraged to bring their smartphones so that selfies can be taken and then shared. We are happy to offer a guided tour, which offers guests a unique look into the history of the telephone and the various individuals highlighted throughout the museum. Over the years, we have hosted many groups like the NHGSA and have heard that their experience here was much more than they had expected and much more fun than they anticipated!
