Social Committee: GSAs Helped bring Christmas Magic to Families

By: Sue Geyer, Currier Museum of Art, Class of 2010

It was a brisk, clear, beautiful night as a group of GSAs spent an evening at the North Pole helping Santa. We all suited up in our Elf costumes, head to toe. We greeted lots of families, many clad in matching pajamas as they got off the train and made their way to meet Santa with Christmas lists in hand. We sang and danced during the performance helping to make the Christmas magic. The smiles and joy of the children and parents make it a joyous occasion. After the 2 shows some of us made it back to the Indian Head Resort where we were staying and got together to unwind and socialize. It was a fabulous day!

The Journey to the North Pole is a major fundraiser for the Believe in Books Literacy Foundation, and they do a fantastic job. There are plenty of opportunities left if anyone wants to sign up to help in Lincoln or North Conway.
