I went on a great hike this week at the Van Loan Preserve and the Benedictine Park. It is an easy hike, about 2 miles, mostly flat, on a beautiful preserve. I saw some unique birds and a huge beaver dam. The trail was mostly in the shade. This is a good hike to recommend to a guest of NH who might not want a long tough hike. It’s also a good choice for a family hike.

The trail is located on Wallace Road in Bedford, NH, right off Rte 101. This would be a very nice hike for anytime of the year, and in the winter Benedictine Park has a beautiful sledding hill.
