A wonderful gathering of Granite State Ambassadors met at the newly opened Thai Restaurant in Merrimack. “A Lot of Thai” is setting the bar high with its exceptional décor, inviting atmosphere, scrumptious food and attentive service. The GSAs came from far and wide to escape the winter and enjoy a lunch with good friends.
Our table was long and set under the backdrop of a Thai street uniquely located in Merrimack and lit by multiple crystal and circular chandeliers. The music was soft but identifiable and the service attentive and swift. Many of us started with Thai teas and appetizers while others jumped right into the extensive lunch menu. I have been here numerous times and opted to have their curry avocado chicken and shrimp dish. Loved it. Actually, I don’t think I have ever had a bad dish at this restaurant. Our host Tarn generously shared a typical Thai dessert of sticky rice and mango with each of us. A lovely way to end the lunch.
Just before we departed, we asked if one of our servers would take our photo in front of the Thai Street backdrop. She rose to the occasion by raising herself up on the bar to maximize the photo background and ensure everything and one were included. You can see the results with this blog. Enough from me though – please read down and see what the other GSA’s had to say about A Lot of Thai.
“Today’s lunch was an artful experience from the decor to the food. You first experience food with your eyes. The presentation of every dish was beautifully composed. From the Fresh Spring Rolls to the bowls of Pad Thai, to the individual carafes of Thai Ice Tea (topped with a Thai Ice Tea Popsicle), and the finishing bite of a spoonful of Sticky Rice with fresh Mango. It was all almost too pretty to eat. The eyes did not lie, the food was fresh, creative, and absolutely delicious.”
“What a lovely experience we had at “A Lot of Thai”. My lunch, Scallops & Shrimp in the Garden was excellent. It was so fresh with lots of vegetables and seasoned perfectly. Their menu is extensive with a lot of variety. It is nice they have a section for vegetarians. It is such a welcoming place, from the owner to the folks that served us. I recommend it highly!”
“It was special that an order of egg rolls had enough to share with friends. And they were delicious! Staff was efficient and friendly. They went beyond the expected to take photos of the whole group! All in all, a great time!”
“This is a wonderful gem in Merrimack. It was my first Thai food experience and I came home raving about it so now my husband wants to try it. Thanks for a wonderful lunch and I love the decor!”
“Our group lunch @ A LOT OF THAI yesterday was indeed enjoyable. The facility itself was meant to be seen with it’s beautiful chandeliers, memorable walls and decorations that depicted home Thailand, cleanliness, and the bar area itself. The staff was all ready for us and very efficient. The food delivery was accurate and appetizing and it was a real treat for us, especially with the “free” surprise dessert. It was great for us to be able to meet, sit and talk together @ such a fine venue.”
“Great food, wonderful presentation, beautiful restaurant. Will definitely recommend this place and will return as a continued customer!”
“Thank you so much to the owner and the staff for a delicious lunch. I was impressed with the level of customer service that we received, and the peanut curry I ate was fantastic. It was such a treat to try the mango sticky rice. Thank you for hosting us!”
“I had the Mango Crispy Chicken with rice–it was delicious!! Loved the serving size too–just right to fill me up without having to take a box home!!”
