Blog: Luncheon at A Lot of Thai, Merrimack

A wonderful gathering of Granite State Ambassadors met at the newly opened Thai Restaurant in Merrimack. “A Lot of Thai” is setting the bar high with its exceptional décor, inviting atmosphere, scrumptious food and attentive service. The GSAs came from far and wide to escape the winter and enjoy a lunch with good friends.
Our table was long and set under the backdrop of a Thai street uniquely located in Merrimack and lit by multiple crystal and circular chandeliers. The music was soft but identifiable and the service attentive and swift. Many of us started with Thai teas and appetizers while others jumped right into the extensive lunch menu. I have been here numerous times and opted to have their curry avocado chicken and shrimp dish. Loved it. Actually, I don’t think I have ever had a bad dish at this restaurant. Our host Tarn generously shared a typical Thai dessert of sticky rice and mango with each of us. A lovely way to end the lunch.
Just before we departed, we asked if one of our servers would take our photo in front of the Thai Street backdrop. She rose to the occasion by raising herself up on the bar to maximize the photo background and ensure everything and one were included. You can see the results with this blog. “Today’s lunch was an artful experience from the decor to the food. You first experience food with your eyes. The presentation of every dish was beautifully composed. From the Fresh Spring Rolls to the bowls of Pad Thai, to the individual carafes of Thai Ice Tea (topped with a Thai Ice Tea Popsicle), and the finishing bite of a spoonful of Sticky Rice with fresh Mango. It was all almost too pretty to eat. The eyes did not lie, the food was fresh, creative, and absolutely delicious.”

“Our group lunch @ A LOT OF THAI yesterday was indeed enjoyable. The facility itself was meant to be seen with it’s beautiful chandeliers, memorable walls and decorations that depicted home Thailand, cleanliness, and the bar area itself. The staff was all ready for us and very efficient. The food delivery was accurate and appetizing and it was a real treat for us, especially with the “free” surprise dessert.
