Event Description:

Come experience the art of historic preservation at the 1882 Kimball Jenkins House. Fun activities for all
ages – bring the kids and your own youthful sense of adventure. Enjoy museum-quality Victorian and
Gothic woodwork, learn about slate roofs (the slate lasts up to 500 years), and gaze on shiny copper
roofs (they last 100 years). Try our scavenger hunt to find treasures around the estate. Enter the contest
to guess the number of slates on the roof. Maybe even operate a bull wheel and take home your own
piece of slate, chalk for drawing on it, and a shiny copper penny!
Most activities are outside. Optional self-guided tours of the estate, including the 1882 House and
gallery, Carriage House gallery and art exhibit, and Yellow House art studios. Masks and social distancing required. Limit 100 people. Advance registration required.
