Tour: Scouting Museum

October is South/Central Month!

Tour Date: October 27th, 10:30 – 11:30 am, signups open September 29th, 9 am

Eligibility: Must have served 50 volunteer service hours

How Many GSAs Can Attend: 25

Uniform: GSA uniform. No purses or bags allowed on tour – leave them in your car trunk. You can bring a small cross-body purse, a waist pack, GSA cinch pack, or your new GSA neck wallet. Wear comfortable shoes.

Parking: More than you’ll need! — Closest spots are 50 feet, handicapped-accessible approach, to main entrance, on ground level

Description: Overview of the 50 year history of the Museum; Trace the history of the development of “SCOUTING”, in its many forms, worldwide, in the USA, and locally in NH; Cub Scouting, Senior Scouting, Order of the Arrow, local and regional Scout Camps: Research and Reference Library with nearly 1000 titles written by and about the founders of the movement, and Scouting publications from 1911 to the present.

Tips: Courtesy donations can be made at the door.

What to Bring: The museum will provide Water and Juices, with some light snack.
