With a portion of funds going to NH music education, you can have fun and contribute to a good cause all at once! October 16th, 2021 at Cisco Brewery! NH Rocks! presents Harvest Fest! A fundraiser for New Hampshire’s Department of Education’s Modern Band Initiative. This initiative helps to increase opportunity and access to music education and instruments for New Hampshire students. With over 7 hours of music, we hope to raise over $18,000!

We are currently seeking volunteers to help us pull off this successful event. All volunteers will receive a ticket to the day-of event and on-site parking alongside vendors and bands.

Mandatory Orientation onsite at 10:00 am to orient volunteers to the festival layout, provide important information, and answer questions.

Event Location: Cisco Brewery, 35 Corporate Drive, Portsmouth

Volunteer Benefits: Individuals who volunteer for a three-hour shift are provided with a free festival pass to the Harvest Festival to be redeemed after their shift.

Supervisor: Check in with Scott Desaulniers, NH Rocks! Event Director, at the NH Rocks Tent ten minutes before the beginning of volunteer shift.

GSA Uniform: You will receive a festival T-shirt.  Please still plan to wear your khaki pants and your GSA badge. No purses please. GSA cinch sack, cross-body wallet, or waist bags only.

GSA Parking: Volunteer parking will be alongside the vendor parking in the back of the building where Cisco does shipping/receiving.

GSA Duties: Parking Lot Attendant and Front Door Ticketing, 11:00 – 2:00

Parking Lot Attendant

Description: Want to be involved in one of the largest fundraising festivals on the Seacoast? Volunteer as a Parking Lot Attendant at the NH Rocks! Harvest Festival! Parking Lot Attendants assist guests by directing vehicles to pre-marked parking spots in designated lots. Please note that this position does not include flagging or traffic detail; Parking Lot Attendants will only be responsible for directing vehicles through the lot and toward the available spot. They will also routinely communicate via walkie-talkie to Festival Supervisors regarding the number of available parking spots left in a lot, including handicap spots. No previous experience is necessary and on-site training will be provided.

Skills & Requirements: Volunteers will need to be able to stand and walk for three hours and should wear appropriate footwear (close-toed shoes) and clothing. Please dress for the weather, including sun or rain protection (such as sunscreen, insect repellent, waterproof clothing, etc.) appropriate for  working in an open area without shade. Water and snacks will be provided intermittently, but we recommend Parking Lot Attendants bring their own water bottles and snacks as well. Parking Lot Attendants should be comfortable providing directions in a confident manner to vehicles traveling through lots, and comfortable following instructions from Festival Supervisors. Volunteers will be provided a festival shirt and, in distant areas, a walkie-talkie for communication; volunteers will need to be able to communicate through a walkie-talkie (including hearing, speaking, and button-pushing). Volunteers should be assertive in making safety their top priority.

Volunteer Expectations: Parking Lot Attendants provide the first impression to the Harvest Festival and should therefore be able to provide excellent guest services, including smiling, greeting guests, and having a generally positive demeanor.

Front Door Ticketing:

Description: Want to be involved in one of the largest fundraising festivals on the Seacoast? Volunteer as a Ticketing Attendant at the NH Rocks! Harvest Festival! Ticketing Attendants assist guests by checking in pre-purchased tickets, counting attendance, selling day-of tickets, and providing information on the festival layout. No previous experience is necessary and on-site training will be provided.

Skills & Requirements: Volunteers will need to be able to stand and walk for three hours and should wear appropriate footwear (close-toed shoes) and clothing. Please dress for the weather, including sun or rain protection (such as sunscreen, insect repellent, waterproof clothing, etc.) appropriate for working in an open area without shade. Ticketing Attendants should be comfortable communicating with attendees in a confident manner to facilitate sales, check-ins, and answer questions while being comfortable following instructions from Festival Supervisors.
