GSA Founders Day: June 1, 2022
By: Emily McMaster, GSA Communications Director
Our second Founders Day was a success! On June 1st, NH Granite State Ambassadors celebrated our second Founders Day and 26 years of serving the tourism industry in NH. Judi Window and Bill Peterson, two of our founders, were able to attend with us. Our third founder, Peter Morgan, was with us in spirit. 94 GSAs and friends participated in a cruise with Sunapee Cruises, on the Lake Queen, experiencing great views and a delicious lunch buffet from Appleseed Restaurant.
Despite the significant downpours throughout our cruise…it’s always sunny in NH! We all had a delightful time and can be sure to recommend the cruise to guests for all kinds of weather.
Hear more from GSAs about their positive experience on the boat!
GSA Blog from Tim Adams
“I loved the beautiful mahogany walls and trim, and gorgeous ceiling panels. The carriage lights beside the huge windows made it feel cozy even on a cool, rainy day, still able to enjoy the views of the shoreline. The buffet was delicious with multiple choices to satisfy any appetite. The wait staff was very friendly and I admired their teamwork. I look forward to telling our New Hampshire guests about Lake Sunapee and the Sunapee Lake Queen.”
“First of all, the design of the dining areas with the large windows is so appealing, and gives a wonderful feeling of being right on the water. All that light coming in, even if it was raining, was very inviting. I was really impressed by your buffet set-up, with one door in and one door out to keep things flowing…You kept us moving at a very comfortable pace, and it was obvious that you knew how to move people around in what could be tight quarters, but never felt like it. The food was great, and hot, which is always so appreciated, particularly on a cool day. The dessert choices were just right.”
“I have always loved “singing in the rain” but you have raised the bar to ‘dining in the rain.'”
