Social Committee’s Visit to Tuscan Market

By: GSA Phil L, Manchester-Boston Regional Airport Class of 2015

On July 27th, the GSA Social Committee met at the Tuscan Market in Salem.  Since it’s such a convenient location for people traveling in and out of New Hampshire (Exit 1 off of Rt 93) to get a quick bite, it’s a good place for GSA members to know about.

Tuscan Market is now located in the Tuscan Village. The Building houses an Italian market and restaurant. They also expanded outside with a music pavilion, grassed area with fire pits and a Beer Garden. We met outside in the Beer Garden which had picnic tables with umbrellas, and we enjoyed a nice afternoon of socializing.  Perfect weather, even with a breeze.

Food options were plentiful. The Beer Garden itself had sausages, hamburgers, pizzas and of course, beers. You could also go inside and get slices of pizzas, Italian pastries and gelato. And some tried the prepackaged ready-to-eat food in the market.  You also can eat inside the market.  Several thought it was a little too hot to eat outside, so they went into the restaurant to enjoy their lunch.   Afterwards, people wandered around the many shops that surround the market.

Overall, everyone had an enjoyable afternoon at Tuscan Market.
