GSA Holiday Gathering 2019

This year’s GSA Holiday Party will be held on November 21st, from 3-6pm at The Manchester Millyard Museum. We are currently full, but we do have a wait list.

** Wear your festive holiday attire and your GSA name badge. No uniforms.

Directions: 200 Bedford Street, Manchester NH

The Millyard Museum is located in Mill #3 in the historic Amoskeag Millyard.  There are entrances on both Commercial Street and Bedford Street.  Take I-93 to I-293. From 293 North, take Exit 5 (Granite Street and Downtown). Turn right on Granite Street to the 1st set of lights and take a left onto Commercial Street. Mill #3 is on the right hand side about a block down, just past the intersection with Pleasant Street.  The Millyard Museum is on the first floor, south end of the building.

Parking: Free parking is available in the lots adjacent to the building in the front (200 Bedford Street) and rear (Commercial Street) sides of the building.  On street metered parking is also available on the streets surrounding the building.

Party Schedule

3-4pm, you have the choice of socializing in the Millyard Museum’s Discovery Gallery, a guided tour at the Millyard Museum, or you can visit the SEE Science Center (upstairs) to play for half price $4.50/pp.

4pm, the museum closes to the public and we will quickly get the tables set up and get out the ‘hot and heavy’ Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. You won’t go hungry – unless you want to.

4:30pm Yankee Swap (bring a wrapped $10 item if you want to participate) while socializing and eating.

5:30pm we will have the prize drawings.

Planned menu: potato skins with bacon; breaded chicken tenders; assorted sandwich wraps, salad, meatballs, grilled chicken tenders, fruit, bottled water, veggies, assorted finger foods and tons of desserts!

We will not be having a formal sit-down luncheon like usual. We will have table seating for about 50 and chairs scattered around. Food is designed for a social-style party.

***** As the culmination of our Explore NH Passport program, we will be doing our raffle-style drawings for prizes from the participating NH Heritage Trail Museums. To be eligible for the prize drawings you must fill out the official entry form (and bring your completed passport with you to the party). You DO NOT need to be at the party to win, but you DO need to fill out the entry form. Plan on 10 minutes. If you don’t want to use the form, you can email me the same info from the form.
