Happy Holidays!

We want to take a moment to wish all our GSAs and our partners a Happy Holiday season!  Enjoy the time with your family and friends.  We are thinking of you all and are so grateful to have you in our lives.

What a year 2021 has been!  Thanks to your generosity, your time volunteering, and your dedication to Granite State Ambassadors, we had a successful year…despite the continuation of the Covid pandemic.  Our 25th anniversary year was filled with celebrations and milestones…from a featured article in NH Magazine, to new events, to the establishment of GSA Founders Day on June 1st, to new tours and partnerships…it was quite a year!  We enjoyed celebrating the anniversary each month with different themes, focusing on all the wonderful regions and other great aspects of NH.  It is a bittersweet end to this important year, but we are looking forward to seeing what 2022 will bring!

As you may or may not know, Granite State Ambassadors, as an organization, is coordinating the NH Farm, Forest & Garden Expo in 2022, in order to support our operations.  The expo will take place on Feb. 4th and 5th, and tickets are already on sale on their website.  We need your help to promote this fun event and make it a success!  We will open the calendar for GSA shifts after the holiday.

Our 2022 GSA training will take place in April and May.  We are planning on running the training as a hybrid model, with 2 short, in-person sessions and the rest as short live virtual meetings.  We will be sure to share dates and information soon, but be sure to share with anyone who might be interested in joining us!

We have some new events in 2022, and we will need all the help we can get to help out our new partners.  Stay tuned for dates!

We have a new seasonal center that we will be partnering with.  Now run by a former staff member of the Manchester Historic Society and our contact for the NH Heritage Museum Trail Passport, the Moffatt-Ladd House & Garden will be a great place to volunteer in Portsmouth next summer.  We recently hosted an interview with Jeff, who gives a great overview of both the museum and also what volunteering there will be like.  The interview is posted on our website and can also be found in our most recent newsletter.

In 2022, we will be hosting conversations about applying what we learned through the Dennis Snow training again. If you haven’t completed training that you purchased or that we purchased for you, please find a moment to do so. We have been able to extend your access to the training through January.

Happy Holidays from us to you, and Happy 2022!
