Tour: “A Visit to The Sunshine Town” – A day in Newport, NH

July is Dartmouth / Lake Sunapee Region Month!

Tour Date: July 15th, 10:00am – 3:00pm, Sign-ups open 9:45, July 7th

Please plan to arrive by 9:45 am

Eligibility: If you have volunteered at least 2 shifts, you are welcome to sign up

Uniform: GSA uniform. No purses or bags allowed on tour – leave them in your car trunk. You can bring a small cross-body purse, a waist pack, GSA cinch pack, or your new GSA neck wallet. Wear comfortable shoes – we will be doing a fair amount of level ground walking.

How many can attend: 25 GSAs

Meeting location: Starting at Parlin Field in Newport, NH

Parking: There will be plenty of space for GSA parking at each location.

Level of walking: Average/Some Walking & Maybe Stairs

Tour is weather dependent.  Will reschedule if it rains.

Description: A tour of Parlin Field with a little history and maybe even a fly-in or out! Then we will head to the Sugar River Rail Trail for a short walk to explore a portion of the trail. Then we will make our way to the Goshen Ocean for a picnic lunch! Be sure to pack a lunch or you can stop in town to pick up lunch to bring to the “ocean!” After our picnic lunch we will head to Balthazar’s Ice Shack for ice cream!

Tips: At the Ice Cream Shop it would be welcomed!

What to bring: Ashlee will have some waters and snacks available for all that are participating but packed picnic lunches should be brought and some money for ice cream should also be brought for the end of the trip.
