Volunteer: Sunapee Chamber Booth – League of NH Craftsmen Fair

Sign ups are open

You are invited to sign up to volunteer at the Lake Sunapee Region Chamber of Commerce Regional Information Tent at the 88th Annual League of NH Craftsmen’s Fair, August 6 to 14, at Mt Sunapee Resort, in Newbury. The shifts will be available each day – Shift A: 10:00am to 1:30pm and Shift B: 1:30pm to 5pm.

This year we will be under a white tent, location TBD. There will be no sides to the tent, so all materials will need to be put into the plastic storage bins overnight, and displayed on the table each morning. There will be “Tick Sheets” to use to keep track of visitors to our tent. Please use them, as they are helpful to us in knowing what brochures are popular. Most guests are not locals and looking for places to eat, shop, explore.

ID badges can be picked up at Gate #2 by Parking Lot #2. Please remember all GSAs need to be in full uniform.

Water and light snacks will be available at the tent. If you are alone and need a bathroom break, just leave the tent and take it. Bathrooms are located at both Sunapee Lodge and Spruce Lodge. A map of the area will be at the booth for your reference.

Ashlee Rowley – LSRCC Director – can be texted or called at (339) 223-3245. If you notice any brochures are getting low, it would be great if you could let her know, so she can replenish them on her next trip to the mountain.

Sign up for your shifts on the GSA website and you will automatically get credit for your hours. If there are still open shifts and you are interested – we encourage you to sign up for more shifts. Feel free to email, call or text Ashlee to see where and when shifts are needed for the fair –

Thank you again for volunteering, and enjoy your experience at the fair!

Orientation Event Information:

Thank you SO much for volunteering to help at the Lake Sunapee Region Chamber of Commerce Information Booth at the League of NH Craftsmens Fair!
Here are some details to help you when coming to Mount Sunapee on your shift days….
– When you arrive to the Mountain you can park in Lot #2. There is an arrival gate there where you can let them know you are volunteering and they can look for your name badge! It might be by your last name OR it could be under Sunapee Chamber.
– Our information tent is located directly across from Tent #3 – as you walk up from the gate at parking lot #2 keep walking straight. You will pass the lodge on your right, the League information booth on your left and then you will see the sign for Tent #3. We are under a white tent this year with sides! Oooo and ahhh!
– At the booth you will see a green binder which will have all the need to know information in there. There is also a copy of the League program so you can reference that if need be.
– In the green binder you will see the shift schedule and “tick sheets” so we can keep track of how many people we chat with and what materials they are looking for and taking with them.
– There are plenty of brochures and everything is free to anyone who wants it. Don’t feel the need to hold back on anything – chances are I have another case in my car or at the office.
– There are waters and snacks in the cooler near the back of the tent – they are for you so be sure to have them!
– Feel free to stay later if you are working the morning shift and/or arrive earlier if you are working the afternoon shift to enjoy the fair!
– Always feel free to text me on my cell at 339.223.3245 and I will get back to you ASAP.
– I will be at the fairgrounds every morning and every evening watering flowers and covering shifts when I can and if need be! You may have to deal with me hanging out with you for a bit!
– You may see a Mt. Sunapee Senior Manager Mr. Doug Daniels checking in on the booth and you too as the fair continues on! Don’t be alarmed! He is one of my board members and he said he could keep an eye on you all and on the booth. He can help if anyone needs coverage while they use the restroom or go to grab some food.
Again THANK you SO much for volunteering your time for this important event! Being able to refer, recommend and talk to all the fair goers is absolutely important while they are here!
