C-SPAN and Comcast Bring American Presidents Exhibit To Manchester-Boston Regional Airport

Manchester — American Presidents: Life Portraits, a presidential portrait exhibit presented by C-SPAN, Comcast and the White House Historical Association, will be on display at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (One Airport Road, Manchester, NH 03103), from Jan. 13 – Feb. 18, 2020. The exhibit’s visit coincides with the New Hampshire primary in February.

The collection of portraits will be open to the public and located on the first floor, near airline ticketing. This area of the airport is open to the general public. American Presidents: Life Portraits features the only complete collection of American presidential oil portraits by one artist, renowned North Carolina painter and sculptor Chas Fagan (pronounced FAY-gun). Accompanying the Fagan portraits are biographical sketches of all 44 presidents and each president’s first lady. The redesigned exhibit also features photographs contributed by the White House Historical Association that capture each president’s time in the White House, as well as audio and video that visitors can access through their smart phones.

First commissioned by C-SPAN in 1999, Fagan painted the presidential portraits to complement C-SPAN’s Peabody Award-winning television series, American Presidents: Life Portraits. The exhibit has traveled to many presidential homes and libraries and followed the campaign trail for the last five presidential elections, visiting debate, primary and convention cities.
